Four-Week Course: Make It Short—A Flash Fiction Class
Attention spans aren’t what they used to be. That’s why fiction is adapting.
Classified as a short story that is under 1000 words, flash fiction is a malleable, experimental form that has become all the rage in literary journals.
In this class we will examine the ultra short story and discover how concise language, and the use of fragment in prose, can be used to create prescient, lively work.
This four-week course is just €200!
Two-Week Class: Revising Your Prose
Revision is an art. It’s a part of the craft that amounts to 90% of the entire writing process.
But how can we approach revision in a way that’s creative, fun, and fills us with confidence as we edit our way towards (hopeful) perfection?
If you’re ever wondered how to revise that first draft, or wanted to learn advanced techniques for making a piece of writing publication ready, this class it for you.

Three-week online class | Finding the right perspective
Telling a story well is all about finding the right perspective. In this class we’ll look at various ways perspective is used in fiction, how different techniques create drastically different effects, and how you can use perspective in your work to create impactful stories.
Four-week online class | Finding your voice by writing what you know
Writing what you know is one of those writing truisms we’ve all heard at some point or another. Some people take is as an ultimatum—that you can only write about the things you’ve experienced personally. Really, writing what you know is about listening to that voice inside yourself called belief, and letting that voice spill onto the page. In this class, we’ll focus on how to write what we know, and how writing what we know allows us to find our true voice.
Two-week class | Know the rules so you can break them: the basic tenets of fiction
We all know what a basic story is. But for the fiction writer just getting started, knowing what elements of basic craft are involved in creating a story can be a bit overwhelming. If you’re just getting started writing fiction and want to get up to speed on the basics of story shape, perspective, characters, and more, this is the class for you. (Online and in-person.)
